2 cans water chestnuts
1 lb bacon cut into thirds
½ cup + 2 2/3 Tbls ketchup
8 Tbsp brown sugar
2 2/3 Tbsp vinegar
2 2/3 Tbsp prepared mustard
Halve chestnuts if they’re large. Wrap each with 1/3 slice bacon; fasten through with toothpicks.
Place on broiler rack and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bacon is cooked.
Removed wrapped chestnuts from broiler rack and place in shallow casserole dish.
In small bowl combine the rest of the ingredients. Pour the mix over the wrapped chestnuts and
return to the 350 degree oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Sauce should be thick but not browned.
