Barbecued Meatballs

1 egg lightly beaten
1 5 oz. can evaporated milk
1 cup quick cooking oats
½ cup chopped onion
1 Tsp salt
1 Tsp chili powder
¼ Tsp pepper
1 ½ lbs ground beef
1 cup ketchup
¾ cups packed brown sugar
¼ cup chopped onion
½ Tsp Liquid smoke (optional)
¼ Tsp Garlic Powder
In a bowl combine the first eight ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape
into 1 in balls; place in a greased 13x9” dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 18-
20 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Meanwhile combine the sauce ingredients in a
saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour over
meatballs. Bake 10-12 minutes longer.
Yields about 4 dozen.
