7-8 slices white bread
2 c shredded cheddar
6 large eggs
1 3/4 c milk
1 TBLS dijon mustard
1/4 tsp salt
Grease a 1 1/2 qu quiche pan or baking dish. Tear or slice bread to 1 in pieces and place half in bottom of the dish.
Add half the cheese sprinkled over. Repeat one more layer of bread and cheese.
In large bowl, beat eggs, milk, mustard, and s & p. Whisk then pour over layers in dish.
Bake 30-35 min at 350* til puffed and golden.
Tip: Can add cooked and crumbled bacon or sausage.
Typically a breakfast dish, this has been known to grace our dinner plates on more than one occasion. Very filling!
