Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies:

A favorite of Thomas and Kate¾ cup peanut butter
½ cup Crisco
1 ¼ cups light brown sugar packed
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking soda
Mix PB, Crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla until well blended. Add
egg and mix.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda in small bowl. Gradually add to
mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheets. Flatten
with fork in crisscross pattern. Bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes or until set
and lightly browned. These are very soft and delicious
