2 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers
¼ c firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. melted butter
Mix and press into cookie sheet with sides, or 9X13 pan. Bake 8 minutes
½ c. butter
½ c. firmly packed brown sugar
12 oz. chocolate chips
½ c finely chopped pecans
Combine butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Cook and stir on medium JUST to a boil. Cook for 1 minute. Pour immediately over cookie base. Bake 10 minutes, then let stand 2 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over, letting them begin to melt, then spread with knife over all. Sprinkle nuts on top and chill.
You can just break these bars in to pieces since it’s hard to slice them once it’s chilled. I store the pieces in a tupperware in the freezer. Very rich!
