4 C water
5 potatoes, cubed
4 carrots, cut up
1 onion, chopped
2 t salt
½ t pepper
1 bag frozen broccoli
1 stick butter/margarine
½ C flour
3 C milk
3 C shredded cheddar cheese
3 C cubed cooked ham, if desired

1. Combine water, salt, pepper and all vegetables, EXCEPT broccoli. Bring to a boil, and boil until veggies are tender. Add broccoli during last five minutes of boiling and cover the pot.

2. In a separate pan, combine milk, flour and butter and cook on low until melted. Add cheese and stir to melt.

3. Add cheese mixture and ham to un-drained veggies. Heat through, but don’t boil.
